About Council of Europe Training Course 2026 in France (Fully Funded)

This training course is organised by the Youth Department of the Council of Europe as part of its Youth Revitalising Democracy project. It aims to strengthen young activists’ and youth civil society representatives’ capacities to advocate for human rights, democracy, youth participation, and the rule of law. Participants will explore European standards on these topics and gain practical skills to design and implement advocacy initiatives targeting policymakers.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age between 18 and 30 years (exceptions possible with justification)
• Represent a national youth council, international youth organization/network, or other youth civil society group
• Local and regional youth councils or youth branches of political parties may also apply
• Hold a leadership role within the organisation and able to lead follow-up advocacy actions
• Committed to democracy, human rights, rule of law, and youth participation
• Proficient in English to work independently during the course
• Resident of a state party to the European Cultural Convention; exceptions may be considered
